Wheat Belly

A really interesting book has come up called 'Wheat Belly' by Dr William Davis. Dr Davis is a cardiologist in the US who has done some research about how wheat has changed and how through his own experience has seen the effect wheat has had on almost every system in the human body. He is obviously already treating cardiac patients and is seeing some dramatic results from eliminating wheat. To the right of this post you should see a new element 'What we're reading', as we come across more and more reading material we'll put them in here so you can have a look yourself.

Underground Wellness

Hi All,

a quick reminder to everyone who hasn't come across Underground Wellness to take a look. UW is a radio podcast that can be listened to from itunes or through their website. Every week there is a different guest interview talking about various nutritional or health topics. The library is great with some really interesting topics that relate to the education you learn throughout the TD courses.

The August 9th show is with Randy Roach and is called Muscle, Smoke and Mirrors. Although Randy talks about bodybuilding he covers pesticides, diets of indigenous populations and raw foods all of which tie in with the TD education.

Happy learning!

Sugar content!

Good morning everyone, recent discussion has centred around carbohydrates and their sugar content and the effect this will have on weight loss. Clare who is currently on the continuation course kindly sent me this link to highlight sugar content. The link focuses on breakfast and as it is American you might not recognise some of the products but it gives you a good idea as to what is being put in our food.
